WHO ARE WE?The Montgomery Small Business Initiative is a nonprofit, student-run consulting and internship
organization. SBI was founded to address a gap we observed among business-interested high school students: while many clubs teach business concepts, few provide meaningful, real-world experience.WHY?Our mission is simple. We aim to pair motivated, business-minded students with local businesses to create mutually beneficial partnerships. Students gain hands-on exposure to real operations, and businesses receive high-quality support that frees owners and managers to focus on growth.Depending on the goals of the business and the student, SBI will handpick consultants to perfectly match the business's needs, whether it be social media, financials, marketing, strategy, sales, or more. A timeframe, schedule, and all other logistics are coordinated so both parties are satisfied with the partnership.We also firmly believe in promoting business education and supporting the next generation of business leaders. That's why SBI hosts guest speakers, workshops, and in-person lessons, in addition to digital educational content and case studies. These can be accessed for free for all students through this website and the SBI YouTube channel.
